Eastern Forktail

Eastern Forktail Ischnura verticalis

Hurrah a damselfly finally! This species is abundant at most wetlands and an easy to identify species. The last two sections of the tail are the bit to look at.



This image is interesting due to its resemblance to a Fragile Forktail, the thorasic stripe is broken but the last two segments are typical Eastern Forktail.
